Resume

Your resume is critically important, which hopefully goes without saying.

Write your resume somewhere that's easily accessible. I use Google Docs. The nice thing about something like Google Docs is you can easily give a friend a link to it, and they can drop comments on it and collaborate with you. But the important part is that you have a source of truth for it, and can update it easily.

Sending Your Resume

When you send your resume to an employer, I recommend sending it as a PDF for a few reasons:

  1. No one will accidentally edit it
  2. It can be opened on any device easily (browsers open PDFs these days)
  3. It looks the same on every device

Some people have issues with the various .doc and .docx formats.
